Now pay for Filmon

Hi

Oh dear me people are up in arms because you now have to pay for Filmon.

As i don't watch to much TV it's not of interest to me as i download more than i watch. For some it will cause problems, no going for a drink while the wife watches her Soaps.

Assuming they have a half decent internet connection people will just switch to other options such as kodi & mobdro.

For those that didn't see it before, this might be of interest. How to watch English TV in Portugal | FelizTech

Kodi is already in trouble, it is now illegal to sell boxes pre loaded with Kodi.
Any one who piggies backs the Filmon signal, such ascamposatv will probably have the same problems Peter posted.
I just Googled and have found that Camposat stopped working yesterday.

Selling the box with KODI is legal, as KODI is completely legal software. It's when it has the 3rd party app then the line is crossed.
Interestingly the KODI foundation is looking at having partnerships with Netflix etc to have official sources on their platform.

I rather think that both kodi & mobdro will be working & available for years to come & if so, why would anyone pay filmon or similar for a product that's available free of charge elsewhere?

Like all those dodgy IPTV deals you see online, it's almost verging on taking money under false pretenses. ;)

The end of everything for nothing, Netflix access will come at a cost.

Hi All
Try the link below and follow it to the part where there are links. The link you want is https://tvcatchup.com – live TV (not Filmon) as it says it's not Filmon and it works. If you read on a bit further there is a link to Youtube and SKY news.

You have nothing to loose so give it a try.

Take a look at UKTVNow . UKTVNOW

Great App for Android boxes but for some reason the video player they use is not good , need to download a separate one and then when on your favourite channel select "external source" not the "Go player" they use

You can't watch in full screen (on a computer/laptop) unless you log in, but at least it's accessible.. for now.

Kodi will introduce new software to block illegal streaming and is in discussion with SKY etc to add encrypted channels requiring a subscription. . UK press.
Kodi will be making announcements at its conference being held in Porto.

Tried filmon only lasts for less than a minute before subscription info appears.

It lasts two minutes but the important thing is to checkout the link below.
The link when open read it and go to the bottom of the article and it says and i have pasted this part. Click on the UK TVGuide and you will find a much better selection.

Peter

Click here to watch BBC One online - then you can choose from any of the 40+ UK TV channels on that web page.
Or go here to view the UK TVGuide

Re: Now pay for Filmon

The UK has just passed a new bill into law.
The Digital Economy Act.
This now gives the UK AUTHORITIES powers to prosecute those not just selling boxes such as the pre loaded kodi but also those selling or providing streaming of product covered by copywrite.
It appears to close a loophole used by the streamers who were always a few seconds behind the originator and could claim that it was not live.
Even watching a streamed service from the a non copywrite holder is by the letter of the act illegal although no action is likely to be taken against consumers.
The prison max sentence for selling boxes has been increased from 2 years to 10 .
