Newbie's

Hi there,

I am moving to the Algarve in August and am getting a bit worried about meeting new people, my DH will be working and my three kids (7,12 & 13) will be at school - may I ask how was it for you? How long have you been in the Algarve? Was it easy to make friends? Any tips??

Thx :D

Hi Rob,

Are you moving to the Algarve? I think most things are under control but you never know when the wheels will fall off.

Where in Dubai do you live, when are you moving out?

Have you any idea where you'll be moving to? If you do then people would be able to give more specific advice on the area:thumbup:.

We will be moving to Ferragudo to start with, I think my kids will go by bus so maybe wont see many of the other parents which is a shame.

Since you asked.....

...we have been here 18 months and although we know plenty of people now, we have found fellow thirty-somethings very thin on the ground.

Know what you mean:thumbup:. Most of the expats are retired and the younger ones are busy earning a crust:p:p.
