I'm still stuck at the registration page. Have tried my regular email, used with other official bodies, and an alternative one. No luck.
Looks like I'll have to give them a call to confirm my details are correct..

Not sure if this has been said, or if you have tried this, but your password needs to have a special character, such as an exclamation mark.

Thanks! I tried but no luck with my usual lowercase p.w. So tried an uppercase initial letter too, and bingo!
You'd think it would inform of this...

I remember somewhere in the bumf I was reading on the site before actually taking the plunge, that the password has to have upper, and lower case letters, and a special character, like & or " etc , but nothing is mentioned on the page where you actually have to fight with getting your details and password accepted ... frustrating!

HA!!!!! Portugal must be one of the worst website makers in the WORLD......................Always have trouble with IMI, Santander, EDP to name 3,but there are dozens..The lack of info and instructions is ridiculous. Getting logged in is a chore in itself. Nothing simple, just complicated iibber jabber. Probably why officialdom is so annoying here. They have enough trouble with their own websites!!

I spoke to SEF and the passport update will be done at the time you have your appointment to do the biometric data.

Passport info will be updated in your SEF records, for people who changed passport since first registration.
What did you think they will be doing? Swapping passport for PT one? :-)

Was thinking about getting one of the new residency cards, so logged in to my account at SEF.....but looking at the info they have on me couple of things look wrong.
AS in the passport number is missing the last 3 digits and they have no country of birth noted (nationality is correct, all other info correct)
Does their system have a prob with 9 figure passport numbers??
If not what do I do to change it before applying? Anyone know?
