Default new EDP prices from jan 2023

has anyone else received email ref the above?
Cant really understand what they are talking about.
It says Undiscounted price for 6.9Kva is €0 1068/kwH
Of which energy and commercial Structure €0.2507kwH
Power (potencia) €0.3917/day of which Energy and commercial structure of €0.2107/day

Can anyone make any sense of this?
Simply need to know the daily charge and the cost per KwH (doesnt mention IVA)

I got the same email and I also do not really understand it. However EDP claim that the average user will see an increase of around 3%. Hopefully more information will become available to identify more clearly what the price rises are because I currently pay 16 cents/kW/h and looking at the email I might now have to pay 25 cents/kW/h which is not just a 3% rise but more of a 50% rise.

This is the actual email I received.
I also currently pay about €0.16KwH.
On the face of it this looks like a reduction in price to €0.1068KwH (I assume that the `Energy & Commercial Structure` is paying the added cost)
Same with the Potencia charge

Also note that new tariffs only last for 3 months not 12.

After I changed my Potencia, I was sent a new contract by EDP. It had the current price of 0.1570 (tarifa simples) and then the new price from January of 0.1068. That looks like a reduction but the potencia price is an extra 2c (odd) per day. I was surprised to see that they were offering a lower charge per kWh, oh and suspicious! That's not how things work these days, so there must be a catch. Has anyone spotted it yet?

I'll need to choose a provider for electricity. I am very interested in your answers. Does any one have a contract not with EDP? It would be great if you could share your experience.

I am guessing that the 25 and 21 cents referred to is what the Gov will be paying (or rather the agreement between Spain and Portugal) over energy pact between the 2.
But why that would result in the KWh rate dropping is beyond me, unless it refers to a potencia of 6.9 or lower

Long ago I read a story about the diabolically confusing energy bills we get in just about every country.
A UK electric bill was handed to famous TV scientist Patrick Moore, and he was asked if he could explain it to the public.
After looking at it for a while, he apologized and said that he could explain cosmology, but not that energy bill.

You will find that Portuguese companies don't have price increases, they have "actualização dos preços"..... a price actualization (update)..

I just got that letter too;
My energy cost is being hiked 120%, to 25 cents off peak and 43 cents peak.
This is serious. Better pay attention, folks, your energy bills in 2023 are going to hurt.

Then this article states there will be an increase of just a few percent; did I misread the letter?
I guess I'll just wait for the bill, as usual.
