Hi I'm thinking of buying a new or nearly new Mobile home so that I can explore Europe from my new base in the Algarve. Does anyone have first hand experience and recommendations of good places to purchase from. Obviously I want it to be a fully registered Portuguese vehicle and left hand drive.

You may need to check your wording here. A "mobile home" is usually a Static Caravan - ie plumbed into water and electric and drains, and not mobile at all. Do you want a camping car/motorhome/campervan so you can travel about in it? You should be able to find dealers on the Algarve for these - also consider contacting hire fleet companies and see if they sell of their older vans ... might get a good deal that way?
Do a Google search on "rent camping car portugal" and take it from there. Or a more direct approach is to search "buy camping car portugal" and off you go ...

I've no idea if they're any good...... but it looks like you may have limited choice or have to import, with all the fun that will involve.

There is a well-established mobile caravan sales place 500m from me near Tores Vedras.

I'm down in Lagos at the moment but will check when back mid-week.
