Can anyone recommend an independent garage for Merc servicing etc? I am based in Lagos but anywhere in Algarve would be considered.

You can go to the dealer in Portimao if you want to spend a lot of money.
I know a really good independent mechanic [ex race team guy] also in Portimao.
He doesn't speak English, Portuguese and French only. But he'll understand if you just point at the problem or whatever.

Thanks Liveboard. Nothing wrong with the car (yet!) just looking for ongoing servicing etc. If you can give me his details that would be great.
