Default MEO message?

received this message from MEO today, on my PT payg phone call only sim.
Considering I have not been out of Portugal since September 10th this year I found this surprising.
So I went to the local MEO centre to ask them what is it about
The bloke I spoke to said that I had written it !!!!!!
I pointed out to him that why would I write this to myself.
But oddly the fact is that it was on my side of the text box, as if I HAD written it.
Anyone else received anything like this?
Text reads:
Obrigado.

To add to this. I do have a UK Smarty sim, which as only been used in Portugal.
But that sim is in a different phone, not related in any way to the PT sim or phone.
I wonder if it could actually be from Smarty and not MEO??
But neither Smarty nor the Sim number are mentioned anywhere......and I have not received any notification from Smarty regarding usage.
Checked online on my Smarty Portal and no notifications and shows I have still 98% of my Data still to use until tomorrow.

I had exactly the same message from MEO. I also have a UK SIM in my phone (Lebara).

I wonder if it is that Smarty clearly use MEO to make the phone connection when in Portugal. My guess would be then that it is not Smarty that will charge for excess use, but MEO, hence the notification coming frm them and not Smarty. Maybe one way to see is to manually change the server used in Portugal to say Vodafone????

Have you also used the UK sim for calls or internet whilst in PT for more than 3 or 4 months??
Do you have a Meo sim in same phone, or did message come through the Lebara sim?

Actually no, I only use the UK SIM in the UK and I use it purely for banking. I tend to use my Portuguese SIM all of the time, regardless of whether I'm in the UK or Portugal.

In fact, I keep on getting this message from MEO that I have been charged 0,01 cents when I receive a call from my husband - he has a UK work SIM.
