Default Meo Bill

I have a Meo TV + Internet package, and wrapped up in this is also my mobile phone account. I've just had a bill in which the payable amount was just shy of 60 euros but the numbers on the bill are in the thousands and I have no idea why. I left PT in mid-October so I haven't used my phone, and obviously I am not using the internet or the TV channels as I'm not there but of course I understand I've got to keep paying whether I'm there or not. This is a bit scary, especially as I can't pop into the Meo shop and ask what's going on. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Richard

Others will probably be more knowledgable than I am - but I am guessing that its something to do with the fact that here in Pt they use a comma when in UK we would use a full stop. So for example, E10,000 in Pt on a bill would be £10.00 in UK. As you say, thousands can't be right!

PT billing and price labels often use 3 digits after the euro.
It can be very confusing.
I think it's a relic from escudo days.
And as said above, a comma instead of a point.
Usually.

As others have said, nothing to worry about, but if you want to call Meo, use 800 209 986 to get options in English. Not entirely sure if this works from abroad, but worth a try (add the usual +351)

I think the 3 digits after the comma are to make the rounding more transparent.

One thousand euros would normally look like 1.000,00 with the € before or after.
