Is that available in Tavira Jonny22? Can't see it on the Vodafone PT website.

Re: Mel phone and internet
I just contracted Vodafone Net Voz Fixa 100 Gb/month for €32.90 with elevated speed.
It works well, but it's buggy - I can't see any details of consumption in "my vodafone"
And I think you'll never reach the promoted top speed (150 Mbps)
Then today I found the option to buy a modem from NOS and get the same for €25 with no limited traffic. So considering to switch.

https://www.vodafone.pt/main/particu...nta-a-usar.htm
and from NOS:
Hotspot 4G | NOS
Tarifários com fatura - NOS
It was tricky to contract the "net coz fixa" even the girl on the vodafone shop counter knew nothing about this tariff and I spent half an hour to chase her to make a contract. Luckily I've been to their shop some weeks ago and spoke to another guy who knew the tariff and only after founding him I was finally contracted. Ughh ((( Hate vodafone actually.

Re: Mel phone and internet
Are you all talking about a fixed line connection or a dongle connection ?
I would be surprised if there is any dongle connection which works with streaming TV / film / netflix but happy to be surprised.
If watching films / tv etc really requires a fixed line connection what is the latest best offer from anyone to look into ?
Does any company offer just internet fibre without requiring a phone sub as well ?
Does ANy company offer a fixed line connection which you can disconnect for months at a time ( so not pay during the disconnected months ) ? You can do this in France for a ligne secondaire.

Re: Mel phone and internet
For temporary use, we use a TP Link mi-fi device with a Vodafone Go 30gb SIM for €15, which lasts for 15 days. This is fine for surfing and streaming with a firestick for limited TV watching. Roughly 1gig per hour of TV.

Hi All
I am at the furthest point for the internet to work and I manage very well. Being in a valley I don't have line of site for 1G let alone 4G so internet via Vodaphone or other service is out. Every year an offer of 200 Free minutes comes to an end but with notification. As my Mum is now almost 93 years of age and I'll health hence the reason I keep the offer that I have had for 7 years. All I have to do is call and the offer is reinstated but not after I get a Bill for a month without the offer in place. Each year for the month after the end of the offer I end up with a huge Bill to pay. So I pay the bill and get the offer reinstated again.
This last month instead of an increased bill of about 60€ up from about 32€ but this time it's 96€. I can pay or do something about it, I will pay but what I want to do is cancel the landline that's the plan and why I asked for info. I now have a Three network UK phone and a PT network phone so I don't need the land line.
There you are the reason for wanting to Ditch my land line.

Peter, how does your mobile phone work if you have no signal? Surely if you have some signal then you also have some data bandwidth too?

Re: Mel phone and internet
ie if you have a Three UK (mobile) phone and a PT network phone that work then you MUST have 3G reception at least and therefore have an option to rent a 3G Internet only box. You may have 4G even which if you go to a NOS shop they will 'loan' you a 4G box to see if it works in your area. My neighbour did just that and surprisingly 4G reception was fine and internet only service/Wifi around the house worked a treat. I think the cost was about €27/mth.

I get either no signal or one bar and that's it and I must say if I stand I front on my bathroom window I get one bar all the time.

Re: Mel phone and internet
But the bandwidth I use for Internet it would cost me more to get the amount I would need. Pete Short couldn't get any 4g and the same for two IPhones I borrowed. Maybe your phone is much better at finding the signal.
