Default LOCKSMITH?

Anyone know of a 24hr locksmith in the Luz/Lagos area? Wretched front door decided it wouldn't give us the key back! Uranus is definitely ruling right now...

This guy covers the whole Algarve - Locksmith central Algarve for emergency door opening 24/7 and knows what he is doing when it comes to locks. Before you spend money did you try tapping the end of the key gently with a hammer?. Clearly the internals of the lock have grabbed hold of the key. Can you not just remove the whole lock yourself + take it to the shop so they can match it for a replacement? Depending on the type and if you can actually get the door open there is a screw that holds the barrel in place and with that removed you just replace it with a new one and save yourself the call-out fee !

Thanks Bife OH has tried everything from WD40 to tapping it ..not too gently...(losing patience as we were supposed to be otherwhere...now had to cancel) YD has sent her 'go to man' round... It'll probable cost us a beer.....Thanks anyway..... Tried the above ...very flashy website... no reply to tel call...annoying vodafone message delivered at a hundred miles an hour..then phone goes dead....email option said they would respond in 15 minutes... After it was sent they replied with... 'We will get back to you within 24 hrs....hmmm

... Is it a cylinder type with an internal snib? - last-ditch-bodge - IF YOU CAN, try gently loosening the screws on the lock face if you have access, turn from inside snib / jiggle the key - sometimes extreme heat can affect the dropping pins which holds the key... (I try brain-surgery-on-Toosdays)

Drop round and see the GNR post in Luz.

Legally, it may be necessary tot have a police office present when the lock is being picked.

The GNR may also be able to assist with the name of a locksmith.

If all else fails drop into Inova at the Chairs roundabout in Lagos.

Forgotten his name but the man who runs it should be able to direct you to someone who can.
