To Introduce Myself

Ola Fellow Expats in the Algarve,

I'm new to Lagos. Would like to meet others, find common interests, perhaps eventually share activities.

Is there anyone in the area willing to have coffee? Tea in the afternoon, ladies?

I'm someone interesting, pleasant personality, highly travelled, very friendly, both fascinated with starting a new life in Lagos and concerned with the lack of sociability.

All guidance and support will be appreciated.

Re: To Introduce Myself

Welcome to the Algarve Lagosliving.. Tell us more about yourself. Where do you come from?
How long have you lived in Lagos, What's your interests ? etc It can take a while to settle in I know.I have been here 5 yrs and had one or two false starts re- clubs and friendships. Not because of incompatibility but because one lovely lady died unexpectedly and another was forced to move back to the uk because of personal reasons. I learned from my previous ex-pat life that it's wise to take things slowly, scope the lie of the land so to speak. i would suggest joining AFPOP for a start and also looking out for the free TOMORROW magazine in shops/supermarkets.It contains lots of ideas and info for meet ups with other ex-pats if thats what you want..Keep posting

Hi! I live in Portimao, so we are not far. I am up to meeting up. Relatively new in the Algarve (2 years). I know the feeling. Took me a while to get to know a few people! Get in touch! :)
