It has just come to my notice today that prices at Continente do not include IVA. This is added at the till.
Prices here are horrendous and now this makes it more so.

Beer. 13%
Coldrinks. 23%
Fish. 6%
This is not always the case as some beers are 23% as are some meats.

How does this work? This is not displayed.

In Our continenet and in All stores we use IVA is shown.
Receipts just show the rate charged on the varying products and food stuffs.

The prices on the supermarket shelves [if you manage to find them] are with IVA, but the bill might show it separately.
But other businesses can have prices without IVA, and when asking for quotes or discounts remember to make it clear.

Prices on the shelves in all the major shops are clearly marked and appear as such on the receipts. All are inclusive of iva. Certainly getting any work done by a builder etc prices quoted are often minus iva.

The standard rate is 23% but there are some items charged at intermediate (13%) or reduced (6%) rates.

Generally, unprocessed foodstuffs eg fresh fish, meat, vegetables etc are 6%

Just guessing about the difference in IVA on beer - might it be that you're comparing the supermarket rate with the rate charged in a cafe (restaurants and cafes are obliged to charge 23% on everything they sell)?

A continual source of annoyance to me. Tickets for different items than the one on the shelf, labels saying "this item temporarily unavailable" under a shelf full of the stuff, nothing at all or a price shown that's different at the till. As for the one supermarket that chooses to put the price tags above the item (rather than below, like all the others)

Strange that pork is 6% and pork sausages is 23% while fresh fish is 6% and frozen fish fillets are also 6%.

If renting an apartment, who is liable for repairs?
For instance, my remote door open/video box thingy stopped working. Do I have to pay for repairs?
