Hotels in Lisbon
Hi, can anybody suggest a hotel in central Lisbon? Looking for a week in the Autumn, in the range €200 / night (2 of us).
Many thanks in advance!

Has a metro right by it but not so far from centre so easily walkable.

Where to begin We have stayed in many over the years. Depends what you want?
Slap bang central Sofitel on The main Avinida
Near a shopping mall Epic Sana depends price wise.
On the water front..at the end of the cable car line..with view of stunning suspension bridge...Myriad Sana more expensive 5* but you could get a bargain
Next to the Arena, railway station, shopping mall and Casino..( Oriente) The Ollisipo good value

I couldn't recommend any at €200. I have only stayed at cheaper ones. SANA Executive Hotel is close to Sao Sebastiao Metro Station – Av. Duque de Avila. We had 2 nights there and were not disappointed. It is close to the Calouste Gulbenkian museum which is wonderful and free on a Sunday. We also stayed at the Tivoli Oriente Hotel next to the Oriente main railway station and the Olissippo Oriente. Both are very convenient for some things including rail and metro transport, but if you want somewhere more central, we would go for an apartment in Chiado.

Do yourself a favour, check the Lisbon Wine Hotel. It's small and located in the Baixa, so walking distance to everything - and the Metro is only a short walk away (plus, of course, there are buses, trams and taxis abounding!).
We stayed in January, the room was "compact" but everything was good quality and the bed was fab. The staff were great and the Breakfast was lovely. The capper is, you get a glass of wine on check-in and a free bottle in your room - and it's no cheap plonk either!

De nada. It was well under your budget in January - you'll have to check for the dates you want - and being small, you may need to book ASAP.
It was a Xmas pressie for SWMBO, together with tickets for Cirque de Soleil and a meal at Ramiro's.
For the first time in 30 years, I think I got it right!!!
NB - There are now many "boutique hotels" in downtown Lisbon, I've tried a few and they have all been good ..... but LWH was above and beyond!
Enjoy.

For a different lunchtime experience, try Time Out Market at Av. 24 de Julho 49. For an evening meal with good beer try The George at R. do Crucifixo 58-66 in Baixa.
