Having catarcts done privately [ Coimbra if possible ]
 

A friend has cataracts which need doing at some point but not, apparently, that urgently.

She will be studying at Coimbra University for the academic year commencing late September.

Does anyone have any advice as to recommendations for eye specialists, particularly those who perform cataract ops ? Coimbra would obviously be convenient but the quality / reputation of the surgeon / hospital are more important.

Anyone know the kind of price range for such treatment and follow up ( the friend has health insurance which will probably cover most of the fee ). ?

Anything else to bear in mind ?
