But I sincerely hope I'm utterly wrong !
.... Absolutely NO bet here...

Full details of who is accused & of what is in the Portuguese media at least but of course, it's all in Portuguese & extremely muito complicado.

There appears to also have been considerable dodgy dealing gone on with regard to houses being rebuilt where they shouldn't have & houses not being rebuilt where they should have.

Best mates off the Presidents off the Juntas & in one case the Presidents brother , they where nearly all "second homes" & therefore not eligible for the State Grant to rebuild them.
But a little thing like " Rules & Reg's" never seems to stop the indigenous population here in PT from trying it on.

Off course it is , but the basic facts I posted are correct & when they lifted the lid off & then investigated deeper they opened a "Pandoras Web" off self serving corruption

I rather think you'll find they discovered a Pandora's box rather than a "Pandoras Web" but I never denied either. lol!

As I have been PM by a couple off posters in the past , as to why I fail to share fully the knowledge I have built up during my over 30 years permanent residence in PT
The 2 "nit picking" post above explains all !!!
Why should I bother

My thoughts are also with the Bombeiros, who will be in a non-stop fight to save lives at the risk of their own and I would call upon everyone, even if unaffected by the fires, to support them at this time.

Tomorrow night :- 20.11.19
@ 22.10 The National Geographic TV Chanel is showing a program called "Witness to Disaster"
Sadly tomorrow's is a report on the Pedrógão Grande Fire .
