Eye test and spectacles.
We are on the PT SNS medical and my wife's head and neck cancer radiation has affected her eyesight and she needs spectacles.
How do we go about this? Must we do it privately?

I wanted contact lenses and went to the opticians by the continent in Tavira. O got a free test and also free lenses on a try before you buy basis. Staff were excellent and test was very thorough. I would presume that you could do the same.

Have used optica24.pt and found them perfectly efficient. €30 for a pair of prescription glasses is good value. (You need to do an eye test locally but those are easy to arrange, maybe that part is available via the health service but if not then that part is not expensive either - (any ophthalmologist local to you will do it).
