Default EN 125 Upgrade

I have to say I’m mightily impressed with the ongoing upgrade on the 125 from VRSA westwards. They’ve almost reached Cacela. Hopefully Tavira by the end of the month at this rate. After years of wrangling it’s amazing what they’ve done in just over a month. Clearly ‘3 billboards outside Cacela’ had an effect plus the enormous local Facebook petition led by a local driving instructor and the mayors of VRSA and CM helped.

Reading the East Algarve news they reckon there is not enough money set aside to do all of it, just the very bad bits so it may not get all the way to Tavira.

So the really bad stretch near Olhão will not get done? Some poor motorcyclist will be killed soon!

True. It's the need to try & drive, find patches of level road without ruts, and watch for the wandering peds. & cyclists all at the same time.
The best level of 'fun' is when you've a 44T artic up your tailpipe .... nightmare

The cyclists sometimes have to wander off the "hard shoulder" part because of overgrown vegetation, cars stopped to take phone calls, heavy gravel etc.
