East Algarve
Hi,
This is my first post so go easy
I've recently bought a little shed near Alcoutim and need some cheap and cheerful garden furniture (tables, chairs, loungers etc).
Where is the best place for buying such stuff? I don't mind second hand as initially my house is just a holiday home (until I reach retiring age).
I've been looking at van hire online for the Algarve and it is incredibly steep for one day's van hire so I suppose I need a garden-furniture retailer that delivers... or try to squeeze into an estate car.
Thanks.

Re: East Algarve
From where you are I'd suggest going to the huge Carrefour hypermarket in Cartaya (Spain) - it's probably nearer than Leroy Merlin in Guia, which is the other side of Faro.
You want the second junction for Cartaya off the motorway (NOT 13/113) - we made that mistake and spent hours circling cobbled streets in a random Spanish one-horse town.
Other options: Aki (Faro) and Ikea (Seville) - and you probably have options North too from Alcoutim.
You will find that at all these places ranges are limited until about April when suddenly there will be tons of that kind of stuff.
We got very good quality but inexpensive loungers in Carrefour.

There is always the auction place in Tavira.
Algarveauctions.com, I think.
Good luck

Re: East Algarve
I suppose van hire is just something that costs a lot.
