E-mail Not A Clue
Does anybody have any idea what this is all about
The Tax and Customs Authority (AT) informs you that you have outstanding invoices for information on your personal e-Invoice page at the Finance Portal.
In order for the constant amounts of these invoices to be accounted for for deductions from your IRS collection, it is essential that you complete the information on your invoices (and those of your dependents ) by February 15th.
The calculation of the amount of deductions to the collection, related to the IRS for the year 2017, whose submission of the declaration through the Finance Portal takes place from April 1 to May 31 of this year, depends on the correct classification of invoices.
Thus, it is recommended that you access your personal "e-Invoice" page in the Finance Portal by selecting the following options:
- "Invoices" >> "Consumer">> "Complement Invoice Information" - Select the sector of activity you are referring to, for each invoice and "Save".
You can select multiple invoices simultaneously and bulk-push the "Save" option.
For any additional clarification, you have at your disposal:
- Telephone Assistance Center (CAT), by telephone 217 206 707, on weekdays from 09:00 to 19:00;
- Finance Portal >> Contact us >> E-ticket service >> select "Register New Question", Tax or area: "e-invoice" >> Question type: "Consumers" >> Question: "Invoices".
In the event that you do not have any pending invoice, please consider this communication to be ineffective.

Re: E-mail Not A Clue
Yes.
It means that if you're filing a tax return there are certain deductions that can be made, relating to purchases made where you have quoted your NIF number.
Most are automatically assigned to the correct category of deduction but some are from sources where the category is unclear and have thus been put into a "pending" state, awaiting clarification from you.
However, the final date by which this had to be done has now passed, so even if it would have been of any benefit to you, the chance has gone as far as the tax return for last year's income goes.

You're welcome.
I'm a bit surprised they're sending out that notice to non-residents, actually. You might want to check that you're registered as such.

If you've got online access, go to /a minha área/dados pessoais/dados gerais (or inicio/os seus serviços/consultar/situação cadastro actual/dados gerais) and look at what's in the Domicilio Fiscal details - it should be your home address rather than your PT address if you're resident elsewhere. At the least, I'd expect "Território, Região ou País de Residência" to show your country of residence.

I got that email and I'm definitely correctly registered as non-resident. The registered fiscal address is shown at https://www.portaldasfinancas.gov.pt...DadosGerais.do if you're able to access it.
