With prices going up, not as ridiculous as the UK!!!!! Which fuel is best?

Depends on what you are cooking and how it need to be cooked, Roast chicken on an induction hob or gas hob is possible but is wasteful of heat. Get a wood burning bread oven for n Pizza n bread (all at the same time) but always use a microwave to "boil" veg. You'll know a litre of water uses less electricity to boil in a microwave then an electric kettle due to microwaves agitating the molecules which a kettle does not and that's called boiling

Fuel used for cooking is not so much; most of your energy use will be hot water and house heating.

So use whatever cooking fuel you like cooking with.
