Thanks for that would you be kind enough to pm me the company you use. We have for a while now felt that we are paying too much and you have confirmed our fears. |

Re: condominium charges
We have a T2 in Vila Real de Santo Antonio and we pay around €200 per year, but our block doesn't have a lift/garden/swimming pool. So basically we pay for cleaning and lighting.

Re: condominium charges
Hi Trog,
You sound like you got a good deal. Would you pm me the details we are in the new apartments across the railway from Lidl. Thanks. |
Re: condominium charges
We live in the apts next to the hospital in Tavira and pay 35 euros a month which includes a lift, if you trawl through the forum you will find this has been covered regularly. We use a company called Tavigest which has an office across the road from the Fire Station, our neighbours in the next block have the same apartment as us and use a different company and pay 55 euros a month so it does pay to shop around.

Re: condominium charges
Please remember that the cost of the condominium charges is usually based on the square metre size of your apartment. The more the sm the higher the charge. Also take into account if you have a lift, how many apartments there are, how many are occupied, if there is outside space to clean, how many lights there are, (how long they are on for during the night), is there a requirement for water, is there a contingency fund (for external painting and repairs at a later date), is there any insurance. There are so many factors to take into considering, not least getting all the owners to agree to the company!!
