Default Clothing mid-december

I'm booked in - for now. I was thinking of bringing some easy to wash t-shirts, jeans and warmis jacket, would I need shorts/sandals or will it be too cold even in the day for them? Bear in mind that it is only about 10 degrees here, it will feel like coming to the tropics!!!

You will have gathered that we are doing this on the cheap with cabin bags only!

You'll not be needing shorts or sandals on the silver coast for a while, Algarve may still be sunny enough on a nice day.

Re: Algarve: Last Christmas, I wore a Summer dress because it was warm enough - there are some lovely warmish days but really, you should be fine with T-Shirts and jeans. Multiple thin layers rather than 1 thick layer tends to be better.

Actually, I'm still wearing summer dresses and thin canvas shoes as the moment.

Bring a light jacket or cardi for the evenings, can be chilly.

When we first moved here, 15 years ago, we wore t-shirts, flip-flops, shorts for the first couple of years. All year. As the only English in the village, we were a novelty and they all thought we were mad.

We now have socks, jumpers...

Hope you can sort everything out, I've been following your saga.

Ha, your blood was thicker back in those days. Thanks. I could get excited but I can't until we're on the flight.

Looks like a sunbathing day tomorrow. It's getting cooler in the evenings, and given the COVID situation worth having some warm clothes so you can eat outside if you want to.
