changing GBP coins in Portugal?

Default changing GBP coins in Portugal?
I don't think I can, but is it possible to change Pounds in coins into Euros anywhere in Portugal?

My wife and daughter bought back 35 GB pounds of change from our Xmas hols

It's a pity I didnt know because at Stansted Airport we could have bought nearly two bottles of water with £35
