Default Carburetter cleaner help needed in finding

Hi

I need help from the motorbike people amongst you. I have a friend who has one of only two 1938 AJS motorbikes and he needs Carburetter cleaner. Does anybody know the name of a brand or where to buy in the Gois area. As it comes in a spray can I can't bring it back from the UK.

Peter

Try in any small family business that sells/fixes chainsaws & strimmers etc....... I'd expect it to be easily available because every man & his dog owns that kind of kit here.

I have never understood carb cleaner, petrol cleans most things and spends a fair amount of time in carbs.

Cyclo carburetor cleaner is available at professional auto parts stores [where garages get their parts from].
Down here that's Sandia Stand; I don't know if that shop has branches up your way.
Cyclo is the good kind.

Can’t beat a cheap ultrasonc cleaner and suitable fluid, in my view.

An ultrasonic cleaner only works of you completely dismantle + remove the parts.

"Carburetor cleaner" is a multipurpose de-greasing solvent, I use it for all sorts of things in the workshop.
Sparingly though, because it's expensive.
