Sportix - would you mind sharing an image of the (non) delivery slip that shows the 1 day limit? Of course you should blank out information where it is personal.

From my personal experience of CTT, I would be slightly doubtful of their abilities to make a delivery available at their office for collection within 24hours.

Has anyone else seen this new time limit?

I'll tell you why we're worried, because there is nothing on my SEF account to say I can now pay. It is showing a 00.00 balance with a late payment of 25/12/22 and absolutley nothing else. I presume I now have to start trying to contact SEF to find out what is going on. What does N/P mean?
Edit: Looking back over this thread, it's early days yet. I'll give it a week.

N/P = N/A
Yup, you got to chase SEF. Try phoning them, they can activate DUC on spot.
DUC payment should be open immediately after appointment, but system is a joke.

You think I should start now not wait as some people did and it eventually came through? That siad, the deadline is Christmas Day so it could get slack up until then.

That sounds like a translation mistake. IIRC the cards say will be available for collection in 24 hours, to allow time for posty to return it to depot.

it would be good if someone fluent in Portuguese could confirm that as I’m going to have to get two different people to check my mailbox while I’m away and it could get very complicated

My experience is that the item is not available to pick up until the next day. I have never left it more than a couple of days or a weekend before visiting the post office so I don't know how long they keep items. It probably says on the card but I doubt it is as little as 24 hours.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding but, your post on 29th (Tuesday) said - Tomorrow is my time to pay for the card. Gulp, wish me luck!!! Now you say, there's nothing on your account to say you can pay. Has the DUC been issued yet or not?

Edit - If you only had your appointment in the last week or so, I suspect the date you are looking at is SEF's deadline for issuing the DUC and you won't have a payment deadline until that's issued.

We were told after our SEF appointment that we will be able to pay from Wednesday, yesterday. The gulp bit was a bit of a joke as other people have had problems. There is nothing on my account that will allow me to pay for the card.

As Corporal Jones would say, don't panic. Posting of payment DUC can take a couple of days to several weeks so, time to chase SEF would be the day before their deadline date for issue.

I went to a CTT store inside the Continente supermarket today (they open even on a national holiday - great! 👍) and the helpful lady there showed me a delivery card which basically had attempted delivery date = x, and available to collect date = x + 1. She also said they'll keep it for 5 working days before sending it back to SEF.She also said don't assume the collection point will be your nearest CTT outlet. I guess then it is up to the postie to decide.

I just got mine - it was delivered in a letter to my house.
I found it in the letterbox
yay!
but I am slightly uneasy that it was that simple
