blood donation
i have wanting to give blood for a while but missed the last mobile unit in my area.
but today i see on the news that they are in dire need of more donations, but was surprised to see that i may not be accepted due to the fact that i lived in the UK between 1980 and 96 due to Mad cow disease

I used to donate blood in Saudi. All donations were tested. Surely they can do that in Portugal ?

Re: blood donation
They test batches; if your blood tests bad, the whole batch gets thrown out.
I have antibodies to Hepatitis A and B, and was told not to give blood for that reason.
