Default Bank card renewal - non resident?

I have my ActivoBank account with a Visa debit card that expires in May. I am resident in Italy and wondering if the card can be be renewed if I don't reside in PT.
I intend to pay a visit to Lisbon and could easily drop in to a branch for collection should it be possible.

I have an Activo "simples" account and am non PT resident. Last year my debit card stopped working in ATMs (microwave related accident) so I popped into an Activo office ( they don't have conventional bank branches) and they swapped the old card for a new one and got me to use their ATM to check it all worked with my mobile number etc.

the one i visited felt like a branch to me but by the by. I believe my acc is a simple one too. It came with a visa electron card. So it seems it might be possible.

I spoke to them and they can send card to a foreign address anyway.
And I notice that ActivoBank refers to it's 'branches' in the app.
