My partner and I want to rent an apartment in the Lisbon area, though other parts are considered, and we need a contract because we want to apply for residency in Portugal.

We alao need a very good Internet service provided.

We do not want to pay more than 450 euros monthly but would pay more if our needs were met.

Can anyone help please?

We found a wonderful place via Air B&B. We sent out messages asking hosts on there if they would do long term rentals and stating what we wanted.

Thanks for replying to me so quickly What's the price range like? And do apartments easily come with a contract over there? We need it because we're applying for an EEA Family Permit and we need all the paperwork to do so.

We have the ground floor of a house with 2 bedrooms, lounge, bathroom and kitchen, access to the garden and TV provided for 300 euros monthly plus bills. It is some 20km outside Lisbon.

That's so good! Was it a fairly simple process to get the paperwork from landlord/lady?

Yes, the landlord has been incredibly helpful. We are very lucky!

Also we had a lot more replies and offers from Air B&B hosts. We went from not knowing where to go to having a whole range to choose from.

Good luck finding somewhere but I really don't know about the jobs. That is what I need too.
