We have friends staying with us being UK hakfvterm, they always come at this time of year.
They take us to their " favourite " restaurant " and pay for dinner.
Its clientele is probably 90 % tourist with Brits the vast majority .
It is probably the last place we would go if we were paying.
The local restaurants with their 9 Euro meal of the day are fine dining compared to what tourist think of as " typical " Portuguese food served up in the most popular places..

Can you name your favorite restaurants in the Lagôa area? I'll be visiting soon.

Here are my favorites, all in Armação: O Casarão, Olivalmar and Zė Leitero.

Chrissie in Lagoa for an upmarket experience.
Bon Bon, Michelen star.
Dos Santos , local brewery.
Vimar in Carvoeiro a very good family owned restaurant.
Hexagon , not tried but also has a good reputation.
Tia Theresa and O Pallets for very good value Portuguese meal of the day. .
I have listed those open for most of the year as many close for winter.
