Our envelope with the code was delivered in person at 8.45pm few days ago and only after I confirmed my name.

Not sure whether they are leaving them in the post boxes.

i see that that the respnse date
is the 3rd may and its mandatory,and fines can be issued ,so people stuck abroard could have a problem

We did ours today, didn't find it so easy - could understand all the questions but couldn't always work out what they actually meant! For instance, "Have you lived at least 1 year out of Portugal?", We've already said we are foreigners not born here, does this question apply to us? Yes, the helpful person on the helpline said. We were also unsure as to what constituted useful area in our alojamento and what divisions counted because our downstairs is mostly armazens which even though they are definitely useful they don't count apparently. I was surprised they didn't ask if we had network water and sewerage, I'm pretty sure they did last time. Still, it's done now for another 10 years thankfully.

We missed that but as I said, we did understand the questions in Portuguese. Did the English version explain what was meant though?

Inho noone would ever cross reference the responses. The obligation is to fill and submit the form, not to make the best guess on how to answer any equivocal question, so I don't think anyone should be worried at all if they get something wrong.

In fact there is a little button near the top of the page with a PT flag on it, where you can click to change to the UK flag for English option! Did that ... had the same difficulties as FluffyH and ... the question to the effect "have you ever worked - ?? hours for cash or in-kind payment" (forgotten now how the time was worded) . Does this really mean that you are to admit to working on the black? Or does it mean "have you ever worked" - as in not an inherited-millionaire and therefore needed employment before one retired? or does it mean have to worked illegally??!! Filled in NO, and anyway never worked in PT (or on the black!). Also having declared that you are retired, why does it continue with questions about future employment possibilities?

Note that you can go back to previous pages while filling it in, but when you get to the end and ready to SUBMIT, there is a notice saying that once you press SUBMIT there is no way back and no means of correction.

A lot of the questions made no sense to me and my situation but "Am I bothered?" Initially it would not accept my wife's name, so I did my usual swearing at the screen, walked away, woke the wife up to check her name, ran away for safety reasons, went back to the computer, tried 3 more times and eventually the form accepted that I must be right!
