The recruitment team have been very good to me in reallocating my assessment day to 27th due to a court day on my original assessment. A big sigh of relief as i was a little worried over the weekend!!

see some of you then 😄

Had hoped I would at least have made it to the PEE. I'm currently exploring the possibility of applying through the interstate transfer. My OH might qualify for a PR visa. May be worth looking along similar yourself if it's an option? It's certainly not a guarantee by any stretch, but a possibility at least.

After failing last year I explored other avenues. SAPol have previously recruited but no future plans and none of the other States currently offer international recruitment. My OH and I used a migration agency to assist with a skilled visa option but he didn't have enough points (his age of 45 and no degree went against him) and although I have enough points I don't have a valid skilled occupation to nominate against having been in the police almost 8 years now! So police is the only option! Gutted and despite having a senior officer who is a competency assessor review it and get good feedback from others I can't help but wonder what other factor contributed to my failure. I thought perhaps having 1 day off sick this year and 7 last year may be a negative but a colleague got through with 12 days off sick this year and similar last year so I have to rule that out!! Not knowing is agony and I truly don't know what to do differently if the opportunity returns next year. Not sure I could handle a third rejection!

Hi there,

I to have passed the paper shift, I have just over 10 yrs in
But I mentioned on the application form that I had 9 months
Off on maternity leave thus reducing my service.
I am still shocked they have short listed me as I was truly not
expecting it.
My date for the PEE is 2nd June, any one found any decent sites
In relation to practice questions that might assist us lucky lot ?
I am also in need of any advice in relation to the fitness test as I can not
For the life of me do a sit up unless some one is standing on
my feet, I know I will need to constantly practice but the thought of failing over a sit up is truly terrifying.
Thanks in advance for any useful advice.

Cool Re: WAPOL 2014 Results

Lisa mc I am exactly the same, unless someone holding my feet I just can't get up. Full press ups not an issue but the thought of not getting through due to one sit up is freaking me out. I've been told it's all stomach muscles and after three children I must have a lot to build up. So I'm working on plank etc to try and strengthen them up a bit and also sit ups with feet held. Eventually and hopefully should we get through by September it'll be ok

Thanks for the reply, you have scared me now.
Didn't realise you needed to do press ups as it doesn't
State that on the fitness ???
I believe that could be on the old test !!! Quote me if I'm wrong though !!!
Heard mixed reviews re the fitness too.
some are Saying you will be given a date if you pass the PEE test others
Saying it will be nearer the end, the longer the better for me !!!
