Yeah that's the plan. Done a mock fitness test today and broke the 17 second barrier for 1st time so confidence boost and still a week to go before the big day.

One failed a few elements. One failed bleep. One failed sit-up ( for the second time).
Practice getting up for the agility. Practice with your hands and elbows flat on the floor cause that's how they make you do it, unlike the website video. And practice on a gym floor and nothing else and you'll crack it. Practice the sit up until you master it. Don't leave it to chance.
Work hard over the next few weeks and you'll reap the rewards on the day.
And take your swimming costume. Cause your allowed to use the faculties at the very impressive YMCA. Well worth it.

Re: WA police Modified Illinois Agility test
Hi all,
Stumbled across this forum today and been reading up on all your tips over the last couple of months. I've got my assessment and interview on 20th Sept!
Out of everything the thing that is worrying me the most is the Agility test, I think Harry said that a couple of people failed on the fitness, I'm guessing people are mainly failing on the agility test!
To those who've done it is this right?! I've practised a few times and am around the limit each time, sometimes below! Also how many are supposed to be on each test.
Thanks all,
Charlie

I'm up there on the 20th also. Just had my interview moved from 9.30 to 8am. Luckily I only live in Kent so not too much of a drama, just lots of sitting around between the end of that and the fitness test at 2pm.
No training for me either since I tweaked my Achilles on Tuesday, but it's getting better every day, hopefully back to training on Monday.

Interview is at 12 for me and fitness at 2, so quite close which is probably a good thing as doesn't leave me too much waiting/thinking time.
Hopefully you're back training Monday mate and see you up there on 20th!

Yes, my wife will be joining me. As for dress, undecided. Thinking about a suit, but it sounds like quite an informal affair, so also considering smart casual!

Passed the fitness whoop whoop, train hard and you will pass. There were a couple of fails today and one no show (bonus).I failed the agility on my first attempt because I went the wrong way believe it or not and they disqualified me, nailed it on the second go, but thats how the nerves get to you because you want it so badly. Just relax and run like for your life
Cant say anything about the interview as WAPOL have requested that we don't so I wont ,so don't ask please.
Good luck to you all though
