Well done on getting there.
I have no idea on the state of policing in the old country any more but you’ll have a great time here.

Congratulations on your job offer. What dates have they offered?

I have managed to get in with my GP at £140. However, they dont do drugs testing at lab so im having that done privately and will just take it to my GP to add with my medical.

Reading through this now, a colleague has recently been accepted and is due to fly out to Oz in the coming weeks, talking to him has really made me review my thoughts on this and now leaning on that I should follow my head and apply - however reading some of the latter responses on here - am i correct in thinking the chances now of being successful are very slim and that the recruitment is nearly complete?

Its all speculation I guess, take It as a good sign they are now paying for some of the costs which would suggest they are still pulling levers to attract more applicants otherwise why would they bother?

I guess with Queensland opened up to international recruits, then that makes competition to attract cops. If two forces open up, and the rest are struggling to retain then that could mean all Australian forces may open their doors!

I guess that’s very true, I’ve also while searching around online seen mumblings of south opening up to international recruits. Fingers crossed the doors of opportunity aren’t yet closed!

Anyone with insider knowledge know if all recruits are heading to the southern districts as per some of the postings above?
