I think there is a amount of time in where freezing your pension would not impact you that much . If you've been in UK pension a long time I think you'd be losing alot. Probably a reason they looking for 3 to 7 years service.

Prime breakfast TV here this morning on Good Morning Britain had Paul Papalia talking up moving across to Western Australia for all teachers, police officers, builders, plumbers and nurses.
Got to hand it to the recruitment team, they are really going for it and fair play. Much more can do / will do attitude than you would get from public services and government over here.

i know of a couple of people having a rejection email at the beginning of the week but not heard of anyone hearing anything since that.

I got the impression from event as they said 3 to 7 years they had an ideal candidate. I suppose its a sweet spot for age and the length of service you can give them. With all the applicants I'm sure they can be selective now and choose what they like. Not fussed about any specialisms you got . They said they would rather you not be firearms here . A young copper 3 to 7 years blank canvas ready to be trained and get out in the street
