Great reading on this thread. I'm going to open day on Monday, seems strange to have open days going after people have already passed Interviews and so many applications are in. I wonder if people already passed will get first spots in Sept 23. My application not in yet but concidering it . 20 years in , Instructor in a number of things . No real ties though other than time in and specialist roles . I'd love to similar in wapol . Not sure what the opportunities would be

It will be interesting to see what they say about numbers of applicants, when all the applications will stop

Hi All. Received my email to say I have passed my interview and it has said about Sept start. Would anyone know when in Sept the course would start? I am wondering if it’s the beginning or the end. Just looking for accommodation and best time to travel over if I was successful. Thanks

Lorna2345 great news well done 👍.... Could I ask your situation if you've been given a September date. Do you have a family? House etc.... I'm not sure September (if I pass the interview) would be possible, to sell a house?

Hi yes I have a family and a house. We possibly already have a buyer for our house so if that went through in time then we were thinking sept might be a possibility. Initially we were aiming for December but now just seeing in sept would be a possibility. There would be lots to sort and obviously we wouldn’t want to sell our house until we knew for definite that we had been accepted. My husband has also applied but not heard back yet so we would need to come together. The kids would finish school in July for the summer so just wouldn’t go back. Just playing around with ideas and timings

I thought passing the interview was still not the final stage and job offer. Other things to go through after this . Is this wrong?

There is medical etc then it goes back to WAPol. Then if you get a job offer you apply for visas. So still lots to go before a job offer. They ask in the email if you would be able to start in Sept hence the reason we are looking to see if that would be an option or whether it would be too soon

Yeah thats what the issue with timing is. I thought you didn't get a job offer until the visa was successful. Its not a given to get a visa, if you've sold up and everything it's a bit of a spanner in the works... A visa is taking about 3 months I think, the website said longer, I've not heard how long people are taking to get the Dr's medical or eye sight test done.

Depending on how helpful the Dr is too, will determine how quick that is.

When was your interview lorna and your husbands? Mine was end of Jan.

Yes it’s gonna be a push for Sept but weighing up options. I would be leaving one child behind to do his GCSE too so originally didn’t want a Sept start as it would mean leaving him here for too long. So much to consider
So my interview was 4 Jan. I waited 8 weeks for a reply they said that one of my references was late. My husbands interview was 26 Jan.
I’ve got 14 years in. 9 on response and 5 as a DS in CID. My husband has 17 years in. He did 11 on response and the rest in ARV. To be fair I was surprised I passed as I heard that D’s struggle so I am hoping his will be fine as he is still front line 🤞

Your situation seems the same as mine, the only difference seems to be the wife isn't in the job. So 🤞for your husband and me.... 🙈.
