I’m also struggling with this in the same area. I can find Level 3’s everywhere for Level for or degree with premises to offer are few and far between

likewise, any suggestions would be appreciated. If I find someone before hand I’ll share here also.

I’m assuming everyone has received the email this morning that due to a lot of queries, recruitment will accept Level 3 qualifications now. It’s so good they’ve done this. I was struggling to find someone with a Lvl 4 or degree with the availability. Now I have someone all booked in.

I have also just received my emails for both the online and physical assessments.
looking online for PT’s meeting the requirements it looks like this may be a bit tricky.

Anyone else having any joy with that in the London area?

did your email state minimum of Level 4 or a Degree in Sports Science? If so I’m sure they’ve downgraded it to minimum Level 3 which will make it much easier for you. Level 3 seems to be the standard PT qualification in the UK and I found plenty. The do still have to have worked in the industry for the last 5 years though

Ah yeas it does say level 4 on the email which is making it look a bit better however It does say NVQ/EQF
I have had a preliminary look quickly and a lot seem to have certificate that Doesn't specify it’s an NVQ.
I get a bit lost with qualification levels I’m sure when I was at school everything was provided by someone for example city and guilds and called NVQ in ……..

Perhaps I’m just getting on a bit now and been out of the education system too long.

These are the kind of thing on their Bio’s I’m seeing
  • Discovery Learning - Certificate in Personal Training
  • Active IQ - Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing & Personal Training
  • Active IQ - Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral

Ill pop down my gym and speak to the PT’s there hopefully they can assist or know someone who can.

I've had an email this morning stating they will now accept a Level 3 PT qualification.

Evening,

I has seen that this thread has been monitored by officers who have already transferred to WA and their insights have been really helpful.

Thanks so much in advance for any replies to my questions. Really good of you to monitor this thread and help out by giving your insights.

I’ve been looking at lifestyle and finances by comparison with the UK.

for anyone who has already transferred what was the starting salary offered? Was it dependent on your rate within the UK or did everyone start on the same?

What was your tax home pay monthly in AUD roughly after all deductions, pension, tax, insurances?

How did you find obtaining housing? What was your experience in obtaining a mortgage as an expat? How many times your salary roughly do lenders give in Oz? It’s 4.5 to 5 times your gross annual salary in the UK.

Cheers!

Quite a few of these questions would be better asked in the main Oz forums. If we can keep this thread to job/police/move related questions, and put any lifestyle ones there, that would be great. It keeps the thread on topic for those reading but will also mean you’ll get a much better response as lots more people will see threads in the main forum.

Thx.

I’ve just done my physical evaluation in the Merseyside area. Brilliant PT with all equipment and all the space required. Price very reasonable. He’s said I can pass details on if needed. He also has copies of his qualifications readily available.

if you don’t mind sharing their details I would appreciate it, yeah. You can private message them to me if that makes it easier. Cheers
