transferring experience to Victoria Police

Hi,

Does anyone know if your current experience/skills in the UK are transferrable to Victoria Police. OH has 10 years experience over here and was wondering if he has to start over again with training etc at the lowest level and pay(which seems unbelievably low!!!). Once visa arrives, he will have permanent residency (136-skilled).
Any info or advice would be magic!! Thanks:confused:

I think if he looks at their website it states that each officer is assessed on a case by case basis. Not too sure what the Vic Pol is like, but i believe they are still using revolvers, makes you wonder......

Thanks. we're just finding it hard to gain info before visa comes through about terms/conditions etc. They dont seem keen to give info before you have residency. Will have to be patient!!!
