Hey guys !
Does anyone know if it is possible to transfer to the UK police from the Australian police ?

It is not possible to transfer from the Australia Police to the UK Police.

To work in the UK you would first need to satisfy all appropriate entry requirements and apply to join the police.

The biggest hurdle is the requirement to have resided in the UK for three years to be appointed. "Some" forces may tweak this requirement to their own needs, but not usually.

And I'm not sure ('cos I'm a bit lazy right now and have not looked ! ) but I don't know if any forces have the direct transfer type option anyway, ie, with a modified joiners course, or recognition of service elsewhere. I don't think so. Not like some of the Oz, NZ or Canadian services were offering to UK officers in the reverse situation.

I don't think many UK forces are short of applications or struggling to recruit - (which is why the overseas forces had to modify their entry requirements to entice us lot over there ), so until such times, you will struggle to go straight over and enter a UK service.
