Re: A, B, C, D assessment help
Finally had medical yesterday.......and like most feedback on here, the appointment started 15minutes late and then only lasted 15minutes. The Dr used most of the information from the previous health screen completed for the fitness test and then stated she could not do the lung test......now £100 lighter!!

Yes......have to book it at the same surgery with one of the specialist nurses or something, but can only do that on a weekday.....so will have to stay up after my nightshift tonight to ring them in the morning.

Good stuff! It's amazing that these Drs are unable to complete these tests themselves. Surely they should know how to work it and read the results?!

Morning all , sadly its bad news for me. I'm 29 and fit as a fiddle . I had a back operation in 2009 and have fully recovered with not one issue in 4years. The dr medical signed me fit and suitable however the WA physician does not. Can't believe it. They have read i had an operation and made a decision on that yet they call me a very competitive applicant

Can't believe it Chris. What a shocker. Fingers crossed you can appeal to them and reapply. Good luck mate.

Re: A, B, C, D assessment help
I've emailed recruiting to see if I can provide anything else. Its not the end of the world as my partner is still in the running. I'm just suprised they've made that decision when I've had no issues since the op and asked for any further info. The dr deemed me fit, I ran 10.1 on the bleep.
They've not said I can reapply down the line. But I'll still have the same medical history.

Chris. That is shocking news. I'm now bricking it as I've had operations on broken legs/ankles 20 years ago and a back strain about 7 years ago. Did they go in to detail as to their reasoning.
Page 5 on the Medical form stated that you may be able to challenge the ruling by getting yourself assessed by a specialist.
HB.

I have just read page 5 so that maybe positive. The email is based along the lines of future possibility of injury to yourself as a frontline police officer yet I've been fit ever since. I'm trained as psu, police search officer and taser and never had any issues with health which is why im suprised. Just have to be patient now.

Spoke to GP surgery today and have lung test with them tomorrow, they then called me back and stated that there will be a £25 charge for the test. Eventually spoke with Practice manager and we argued for 10 minutes and she eventually waived this charge...........daylight robbery lol

Good job too John. Bloody rip off for blowing into a tube! Mine charged £25 just to sign the fitness test form!
