This is agony
Congratulations to those who have recieved the good news they have been waiting for. I am still stuck in limboland and it seems that everyone else on here has had an email. This is very worrying as all sorts of things start running through my head such as are they sending out yes email first and then no emails? My god limbo land is a lonely place right now. Fingers crossed

|
Re: This is agony

|
Re: This is agony
I'm sure you will hear soon. They have quite a few people to email so bear with them.
|
Re: This is agony
Agony? That would be easy compared to this! Never mind no finger nails left, I'm down to my elbows!
One small word is all I want "YES", God, you're killing me and the family. Nothing in life is ever easy. |
Re: This is agony
Your not alone, I'm still waiting too!
|
Re: This is agony
Can't it be bed time so I can at least try to get some sleep and wake up with a positive email?!
|
Re: This is agony
Still waiting too :frown: have checked several times today and am even checking now when it is probably middle of the night in perth, anyone got sue o'connors home telephone?

Re: This is agony

Re: This is agony
Chaz I reckon Sue has turned her phone off, but I like your thinking :-)

Did you pass all your fitness?! |
Re: This is agony
Fadsie, I'm equally gutted for you and know exactly how you feel unfortunately. Lack of individual feedback is a killer.

Re: This is agony

I didn't think my interview was of catastrophic proportions either. There was an issue with a PSD complaint which I managed to sort out after the interview that was an incorrect entry which is why I didn't know about it when questioned. My force sent emails to WAPOL in order to clarify the error and explain the entry was being expunged but it doesn't appear to have made any difference. I am just hoping that my force's emails have been lost or gone missing from my file and that is why I was turned down, as they were sent while the recruitment team were still in London. Hopefully it may give me a second chance at the dream. At this stage, neither of us have anything left to lose is the way I look at it but good advice from Ozwannab. It's only the cost of a phone call as well. |
Re: This is agony
That's it mate. I had 2 outstanding complaints sprung on me aswell. One I was sure had been resolved. The other I recieved an email for but have heard nothing since. I also spoke to psd after interview and it turns out the one I thought was resolved had been resolved but not updated and the other is a nothing complaint which will be dealt with very soon. That is the only thing I could think cost me. Hopefully they will look at it again. It seems a coincidence that we both missed out and both had psd issues

Good luck to you both, when you make that call. |
Re: This is agony
Cheers mate. Ill let ya know the result. This complaint is a bloke who didnt like being arrested and said i was rude and obnoxious. A typical complaint I hope it doesn't cost me everything

Re: This is agony
Dinger and Fadsie, really feel for you guys, I know you've put your hearts into this, you are both 100% and you deserve to get through....I still haven't heard and am now prepping myself for the worse. I too thought that my interview was ok, passed fitness first time, only one nothing complaint sprung on me that they didn't seem overly concerned about....Hopefully tomorrow I'll know one way or the other. First day from Wapol recruitment seems to be yes, second day no, third day..........

Hi did you manage to plead your case or at least get some feedback.
Better luck next time for me!!! |
Re: This is agony
Oh that's a shame. But least you got some answers in the end. Try, try, again?!
I'm STILL waiting?! Starting to prepare for the worst now! :( |
Re: This is agony
Dinger, that article is good news for you, in a way. Not the news you wanted, but now you know they'll probably be back, keep your head down, and nail it next time.
|
Re: This is agony
Better in limbo than not in my case!!!
|
Re: This is agony
Dinger - is there any time limit on when you can apply again?
|
Re: This is agony
Harry- when I did it before I was told I had to wait 6 months before I could apply again?!
|
Re: This is agony
HB they didn't stipulate any time limits so I hope they come back next year so I can try again, and not be so much of a tlt at interview. They have said my overall assessment didn't meet the criteria. I assume my P.E.E was good enough as I got selected for the final stage. I know I passed the fitness test so by method of deduction that would mean my interview and/or psychological assessment let me down (very substantially) by the looks of it. We all must learn from our errors so I will knuckle down and start preparing for their return to these cold damp lands in hope of a successful outcome next time.

Re: This is agony
From my email from sue today, I've been successful in the process so far. They are just waiting to hear from the met about my complaint history so until then I'm still waiting for my confirmed yes! I've chased up my HR department so fingers crossed won't be much longer!
