yep, over the internet..You need a provisional licence, and you will only get one if you have served an

hi, i am going down the vettasses route for tra, i am time served and have all papers ect, so you think i will be able to get provisional licence and work ok, also would i start this course once there or can i start it earlier?

should get your provisional licence, no probs, where are you planning to settle?
Think you can only start the course once here, it's not easy to get on, lots of phone calls etc.

hi mate
cheers for the info, not sure where to settlle ,thats the big question, always looking for suggestions on that subject, i have a wife and child to consider so it needs to be ok in that dept, also work is a big one for me, other than that not fussy. we will look at renting initially then buying.
where abouts are you.

Caloundra, SC but there's lots of work in brizzy. but would not want to travel an hour each day..

Thanks for this post. I am moving to Broadbeach on August 15th. I will apply for the gas fitters course as soon as i get there, hopefully it will help me find work quicker.

do you have corgi? if so you do not have to do a gas course. just speak to these guys. http://www.dme.qld.gov.au/contact_us.cfm
but there is not much work for gas on the the sunshine coast dont now if south side of brizzy is better??

Thanks for the link. I do have my corgi and have just done a course in LPG. We only have a short term rental when we arrive so moving to a different area would not be a problem. We are willing to move where the work is. I also dont mind traveling. Just cant wait to get there.
