Default plumbers/gas fitters

can any plumbers/ gas fitters who are already in ozz give us some possitive feed back regarding your new life down under.my husband and i are just gathering info for tra ,and reading loads of negative posts ang getting quite disheartendwe know it will not be a bed of roses from day 1 but surely cant be all bad
any info would be appreciated

Hi Timmins family!
Not there but have plumbing licence and intend to be there sometime this year! Depends where you are going, I'm from WA and each State has its own agenda I believe. Yes it is like jumping through hoops, getting used to how the Aussie's do things but like anything once you get used to it........
Don't go over with the intention of doing things like you did back home - Australia is seriously 20 years behind in most trades, particularly plumbing, but thats the way they do it so........ Once you get into the swing there is some good money to be made - expect to work for zilch though whilst you get some experience!
