Saw very little cloud today from Taal, but Philvolcs obviously quite concerned in this advisory on high Sulphur emissions. |

103 earthquakes from Taal reported in the last 24 hrs. For comparison there were 46 reported on October 24 and 550 during the 2020 eruption.

Earlier this morning an eruption led the authorities to place it at Alert Level 3:

Taal volcano went down to Alert Level 1 on July 11.
But recently degassing large amounts of Sulphur Dioxide: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...faffe951e1.png Yesterday morning, viewed from Batangas. No known links to the chance of eruptions taking place but air pollution and acid rain localized effects. Overall volcanic eruptions of this gas known to generally cool the upper atmosphere. |
