Re: Proof of Life 2025
I have another govt type pension and it has a very different proof of life. Five yearly until you get really old and last time I was able to prove I was alive by email. The funny thing was it was by neglecting to answer a number of previous emails to report in that they accepted a secure email. If I had seen and replied to any of the previous missed emails it was a similar rigmarole to the State Pension.

Thanks both of you for that...
Fortunately, I'm in the position that I am not in great need of the money or else I would have called DWP as many do. My gripe is with DWP not answering my emails, they are as far as I am concerned there to help and advise folks like us. If I don't get a response soon I may be inclined to take the matter further. Regards.. . |

Similar here. My POL arrived mid Jan - pure luck as I had to collect a signed for package and asked them to search for any other mail. No sign of one for my wife. So, off home, signed in securely through my Government Gateway and sent message asking if they had sent POL for my wife. Not a murmur was there! Got my POL notarized and couriered back. Sent follow up email to DWP but as you can guess , no response. Wifes pension stopped in February. Called International Pensions , did usual rigmarole and got emailed a new POL form for my wife!! International pensions removed stop and overdue pension appeared in my wifes account the next Monday - 6 days. Got form notarized , returned by DHL on Tuesday and delivered to Wolverhampton on Friday. Cost 3150 pesos from Cebu. Now her main pension - Teachers Pension issue POL every 5 years , send an email with POL form attached and say that they do need the original back but they accept email copy as initial OK. Notarized, copy emailed, original sent via Philpost registered and couple of weeks later got email confirming receipt.

Received a reply at last this morning from DWP, stating that my POL has been received and actioned on 13 March. So with a bit of luck, should be in my UK bank on Monday. Regards. |
