Re: Ph Postal System
For what its worth...
I mentioned on these exalted pages that no customs fee of 112 peso is chargeable on items valued at 10k peso or less. This came into effect a couple years ago or so. However, I found out this morning that soon after the exemption, Philpost has plonked a handling fee on items subject to customs inspection. How much? 112 peso! Regards |
Re: Ph Postal System
Couple of interesting points.
Philpost. Two weeks ago I sent a proof of life certificate to one of my private pension suppliers via Philpost registered for 175pesos. I thought I'd try this as i had already emailed them a copy which they had acknowledged. Surprisingly, I could track it all the way and it was delivered to Telford 10 days later!! DHL. My friend in UK sent me a new credit card. The next day after sending it via WH Smith , she got a call from DHL saying my name was on a sanctions list! They needed my full name and some other info. Sent this and shipment was released for transit. Obviously someone with the same initials and surname is on a "dodgy" persons list. DHL were very polite and apologised for the shipping delay but apparently ALL items addressees names are automatically checked. The sanctions list they sent was 93 pages long! A combination of UK and USA listings. They say they have now tagged me as "safe" !!!! |
Re: Ph Postal System
Philpost has surpassed themselves. I posted a letter to my brother in the UK on the 15th March, he received it 2 days ago
