OFW mortgages

Hi did anyones spouse (if you had one before moving there) have an OFW mortgage for a house purchase prior to going back? Given that rental would eat up precious pension and house purchase when I finally get over there would do likewise, im just wondering if this might be a viable option?
many thanks

I've always done any borrowing in the UK as the monthly interest rate in the Philippines is often as much as the yearly UK rate. Buying a house on your credit card would likely be cheaper.

Wow lol I wasn't aware that would be even possible and while it's something to think of I was hoping to avoid having anything to do with the payments as the wife and daughter can play me like a fiddle lol and I seem to on the recieving end of more than a couple of "payment holidays" lmao
