Default New car number plates

Has anybody got their new plates yet for a re-registered car? I only ask because I have two plates ordered at an LTO branch which is situated quite a bit out of our way - one from last February and the other last May. Might they be there by now - especially the May one? And do they make you replace them there, or can one just collect them without the car being present?

A friend of mine in Antique paid for his 14 months go, regular phone calls to his local LTO has revealed that they are always expecting them next month, so that is 13 deadlines they have missed. So don't expect them any time soon.

If you are thinking of renewing your driving license then on the news the other day the LTO has stopped issuing licenses at regional offices because the have run out of the blank cards. They have also run out of vehicle stickers as well so these are also unavailable.

Happened to me with the driving licence, but you are given a paper one to cover you. Until your plastic one is available.
I saw my first car with the replacement plates, early this week. It was a "101" number so January registration. Mine is September too. So a long wait I guess.

It seems that the problem with the new number plates is prevalent in the provinces. In Metro Manila and Regions 3 and 4 the new plates are in abundance.
As for the paper drivers license issue it took from June to October before I received my plastic card.
A Happy Festive Season to one and all and remember 'It's More Fun in the Philippines'

I saw some vehicles with Manila plates yesterday. Most probably from the ferry. They were displaying the new plates, and one was prefixed with a "6," so it does seem, that the provinces have to wait.
My driving licence took a few weeks, about six I think. To get the plastic one.

Just an update - no "2" new number plates at my almost provincial LTO branch. No stickers either. Good it was online. That old Irish Eurovision song entry "What's Another Year" comes to mind.

My friend in Antique still waiting for his new number plates 16 months after paying for them and being told by LTO "You can pick them up next week". So all systems normal then.
