Re: NCR llockdown
Covid news update
Again, no news from the DOH on covid. Mpox cases 15..Nothing also from SE and E Asia. Except Japan going to offer a new vaccine: https://www.manmonthly.com.au/csl-ha...oved-in-japan/ The UK? https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...a26ae9c022.png Cases last week max 243.. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...4cf308ec97.png Latest deaths downward trend in August from about 1,000. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...619fca17a8.png Admissions also down at about 200 a week. England and Wales excess deaths. All negative % July: 2.8 6.4 7.4 Aig 7.0 8.5 11.4 12.2 17.2 Becoming more negative. Mortality displacement must surely have played out now so a bit surprising. Possibly some issues with the ONS new methodology? The US: https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...801db8f0f4.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...b6e6fa1779.png Beginnings of a downturn this month. More on videos and news later.... |
Re: NCR llockdown
Covid update cont.
Selected You tube videos First John Campbell...now on the basis of numbers of viewers. Not his content, Lately he has put out 3 from 9 videos about nutrition, Jumping on the JFK jnr bandwagon. This one got 218k views. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...544e8cb5cd.png Campbell and I have talked about the Florida State Surgeon General before. A once competent surgeon who got to be an anti vaxxer. And generally sceptical of controlling viral spread. The result was that his state ended up in 12th position out of the 50 states for covid deaths per 100,000. Lots of aged retirees but also lots of sunshine. Covid became a political issue and he had good support from the Republican governor there. He is against mRNA vaccines and has demonstrated he had no understanding of them. However Campbell's biggest seller was a video about Nanotechnology. But he has now deleted it. Luckily Dr Susan Oliver is an expert on the subject and you can get an idea about it from her video, in which she can hardly stop laughing about Campbell being taken in by an anti vaxx scam academic paper, which fraudulently claimed to be Peer Reviewed. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...3249bd4ebe.png Bit blurry to see, but the authors are a gynecological surgeon and a Prof of Linguistics! The paper has a number of photos like these: https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...55fee9f035.png Some plumbing arrangement? But Dr Oliver says that they were not using a powerful enough microscope to see structures in the vaccine..It needed to be an electron microscope. And they look nothing like that. So, what are they? She doesn't know exactly but suggests dust, dander, microplastics, fungi or bacteria. All contaminants that the two "experts" allowed. Dr Oliver also very easily debunks another video on the E O Nutrition Channel. It got 1.2M views! See the disparity. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...5e28dbbfcf.png https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...b76d5e9796.png Dr Wilson returns to RFK Jnr. The Vejon health channel continues to put out videos which just avoid being being the subject of You tube deletion. This one suggest that the ONS, using their new methodology, have greatly underestimated England and Wales excess deaths. As you see in my last post they have continued to be negative so far this year, and are actually even more negative recently. The proof Dr McMillan puts forward is hospital data. Which for me was not at all convincing. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...bd8c9b3abc.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...e9f4a0ef0c.png Another Vejon video in the same vein.. Relies on an article by someone called Eric Poole on Substack only. He might be an ex manager. Nit sure about that though. Of course the vaccines do not stop you catching covid. Many more alarmist anti vaxx videos can be seen on this channel. Re: NCR llockdown
Covid update
For The Philippines and its neighbours no update can be given from easily available online sources. UK data https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...3a5007fbc3.png A downturn on the numbers of cases showing last month. Oct 2 116, Oct 1 307, Sep 30 405....cases. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...cd08ac8a1f.png Deaths Sep 20 at 134 but higher numbers in August. Latest covid death data shows 1.4% involved covid and in 1.0% it was the underlying cause. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...c4834e4218.png Admissions latest at Aug 29 was 233, well down from the July peak. England and Wales excess deaths continue to all be negative percentages in September: w/e 6th 9.0 13th 14.4 20th 13.7 27th 10.7 USA data from the CDC https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...cb2d201efa.png https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...5160d879d6.png Some You tube videos: https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...93e311dab8.png The presenter very happy to give another airing to this non medical professional selling his books on Amazon. The link to Campbell's much pushed claim that vaccination aspiration is linked to vaccine harm is not the only one M.Girardot makes but it is obviously the reason why his Bolus theory, not in any peer reviewed medical journal, again makes an appearance. The problem is that aspiration is generally seen as a medical procedure, taught as standard practice years ago, but one which is now viewed as unnecessary. Not employed during the height of covid in large areas of the world. Though osed by certain vaccinators trained in the past in the technique. It was recommended in Denmark for a while. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...05da49d2d9.png A video by a Canadian medical practitioner clearly explains why it is an unnecessary practice. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...22f80e7a6f.png Another Danish link here as Dr Campbell again gives a platform to Dr Manniche, where she compares Pfizer data from a previous study she did claiming SAEs were batch dependent in Denmark to one she has now done on comparable Swedish data. The problem is that her previous Danish study was comprehensively discredited: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...1d35affb5e.png Another typical example of clickbait from the Vejon channel. Its content similar to that seen in Campbell's channel. Dr McMillan of Vejon Health, on the face of it, presents an autopsy study linking covid to clots seen by surgeons and embalmers. He is obviously several steps up from being a nurse, as Campbell is, but that makes his videos all the more misleading. As he begins by praising other authors who have claimed links to clots from covid vaccination, including on retired US Air Force major. The paper of a study of 3 cases of large pulmonary artery clots makes no mention of covid vaccination. But that is something Dr McMillan does, if you listen carefully. Covid vaccination has not been shown to form clots in the living and the claim of some embalmers to have found clots previously unknown to medical science has also been shown to be unfounded. So misinformation continues to come out from these two channels. There is a lot more there if you look. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...6bb31cd47c.png But Dr Seheult of Medcram continues to give good advice. Here he continues to encourage us to get more exposure to sunlight. Some interesting covid articles :https://www.news-medical.net/news/20...and-death.aspx https://www.kcl.ac.uk/news/long-covi...thcare-workers https://www.independent.co.uk/life-s...-b2625764.html And also you cannot fail to see online what presents former President Trump gave to Vladimir Putin during covid! |
Re: NCR llockdown
Again no covid reports from the Philippines and nearly all of its neighbours,
Except some indication that Japan is still taking covid seriously, probably because of its large elderly population: https://www.asahi.com/ajw/articles/14942682 For the UK: https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...23eea8a01b.png Cases falling into November, https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...1c6055f7d4.png ......but deaths increased. At well over 200 a week. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...d8581f03bc.png Hospital admisions now in the upper 200s per day. England and Wales Excess Deaths As they have been all this year so far continuing to be negative. 4 Oct 10.2% 11 Oct 10.3 18 Oct 10.8 25 Oct 7.2 1 Nov 13.3 Covid deaths 1 -2% for most of October but about 2.5% into November. US covid data https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...743ef37e2b.png Early indicators falling. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...cc3a5973e3.pngSmall early autumn rise then falling in late October. You tube I expect many of you are taking statins to lower your cholesterol. You had high LDL in a Lipids Test. So did I and I take a low dose. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...0f206c61ce.png ...who is Dr Aseem Malhotra. A well known spreader of covid misinformation. Here it is his Statins misinformation which is of interest. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...405d6a4eb4.png Malhotra makes a number of false claims about statins in this video. The main one being that statins do not decrease your cholesterol. Before Dr Oliver gets to them she explains that LDL is a proxy for the amount of cholesterol carrying particles in our blood. It is a good one, she says. She refers to "Q risk 3": https://www.qrisk.org/ A way of assessing future CV disease. Necessary to know where you are starting from with risk factors. She says many large scale studies have confirmed it does lower your cholesterol (it did mine) and the risk of CV disease, as shown in the graph above. Dr Oliver looks into what Campbell has previously said about his health and concludes his CV risk is not low and could be of concern...especially if he is presently taking statins and stops them. As he says he will in the video. She also debunks an already much criticised BMJ research paper Malhotra authored years ago. And still relies on it today. Her conclusion: satins will reduce your cholesterol and. importantly, the benefits increase over time. Of course the big news this week for health was Trump's pick for US Health Secretary...RFKJnr. He has yet to be confirmed but I suggest the odds are strongly in favour of that, one way or another. Assuming he is. and concentrating on his record and pronouncements on health and medical science. you can revise them by looking at three recent posts here: 2141 2145 2147 https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...a554bf087d.png Also...Dr Oliver has updated her playlist of videos on him and his views. His past role in Samoa and the MMR vaccine has been aired recently on US channels.. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...917c092628.png Dr Wilson reviews him in another way. RFK's Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement has two proponents who appeared before the popular US podcaster Joe Rogan. He goes through their arguments. PSA VITAL STATISTICS UPDATE
Data courtesy of Super Sally....someone who has been a reliable source of PSA data since 2020. Her data analysis is another matter! You can receive her emails for free https://supersally.substack.com/subs...m_medium=email Birth data In her Feb 10 email: 2023 data close to being complete. Only January and February 2024 data is reliable. In 2023 births slightly down on 2022. 58.2% to unwed mothers. January 2024 births were down by 26% on 2019 but births in that month especially subject to late registration. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...87305ea087.png The downward trend from around 2010 continues. To her credit SS does not now blame covid vaccination for the recent further falls in Philippine births. Though in a later email sent Feb 19 she does suspect it was an important factor in global births. Strange as covid vaccination did not occur at all in many parts of the world, The date is from Our World In Data, who she suspects is inaccurate! But they are a very well respected source. 2019 births 138.6m 2022 births 132.48m 2023 births 132.11m As you can see her problem is that 2023 births were estimated as nearly the same as for 2022! Deaths data 2023 Philippine deaths were up 2,2% on 2022. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...e0fcc2b929.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...d2f2585a64.png Females doing far better. Regional Deaths NCR 2023 up 4.4% on 2022 Worst region...Ilocos up 5.6% Best region...Central Visayas down 3.1% SS has rowed back on births and covid vaccination but not on deaths and covid vaccination. A belief founded on mainly temporal correlation plus anecdotes. Ignoring the temporal correlation with covid itself. SS on 19 Feb also emailed on Hong Kong, Malaysia and Japan. https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...9f8cb279d5.png https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...24d516489b.png https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...7ea29e9d4c.png Hong Kong with falling births and increasing deaths up to 2022. But both changed direction somewhat after. Japan with a more pronounced births decrease since 2015 and a deaths increase since 2020. To come.... a few You tube videos. |
Re: NCR llockdown
SOME YOU TUBE VIDEOS TO WATCH
Dr John Campbell has continued his anti covid vaccine approach this year. But his most recent video was on one of his favourite topics...vitamin D. There were two other videos early in January but this one took my notice: https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...e5fa6d7ae5.png The NHS and the US CDC recommend only 800 IUs a day. So Campbell has taken at least 5 times the recommended dose. So he was really concerned that a home test showed him to be at blood levels of 10 to 30 nmol/L. The NHS and the test he bought say sufficiency is reached at 50nmol/L. Quite a way under so he can't really blame the test. He is correct in saying that there isn't enough winter sunlight in the North of England to improve his level. His idea to go from 8,000 to 12,000 IUs a day seems to run the risk of toxicity?. The NICE guidelines in the UK do not recommend vitamin D testing unless you are asymptotic. Eg have bone density issues. But Campbell has presumably talked to proper doctors who have convinced him that vitamin D is needed to prevent serious illness in old age. Thought I'd look around for more views on the benefits of vitamin D and supplementation dosages. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...d05247d3eb.png The interviewing doc and the lady PhD biochemist not recommending high supplementation levels.when asymptomatic. The other benefits gained to health when regularly going out and exposing skin to the sun can be significant. https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...0c1ab97d16.png The OmegaQuant Lab seems to be something of a charity. But the qualifications of the presenter are not given. Anyway, a level of only 30 nmol/L is described as a "Goldilocks" level. Meaning the best you can get. No point in increasing it. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...657b12534a.png I've recommended some more recent videos from this doctor before, under the banner of "Medcram". He says that the evidence on the non immunological vit D extra benefits is not there, or at least wasn't 3 years ago. However he is encouraged by studies on covid which showed a good association between taking vit D supplementation and preventing, surviving that infection. He suggests that could be a good proxy for the prevention of diseases like cancer and heart disease. He is not concerned about toxicity. He says vit D is one of the least toxic supplements. Even at high levels. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...dce07653cf.png Dr Grundy says the UCal San Diego Vitamin D research unit recommends the average American needs just under 10.000 IUs a day! He himself says he takes a short burst of 150.000 IUs a day for 3 days if he feels he has a "scratchy throat or runny nose"! He said he's not dead yet and I checked....he isn't. Though to me he looks older than his age of 74 years. Worth noting he is cited for misinformation on covid and another area in his Wikipedia entry. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...7d81383f66.png I thought this was an impressive video in that Dr Ekberg explains well the so called "non classic" benefits of vitamin D. The classic one was the prevention and treatment of rickets. The "non classic" benefits include immunity, prevention of cancer, auto immune diseases, dementia. He calls it a "biomarker of chronic disease and frailty". Now, to go back to Campbell's dilemma D Eckbeg lists some "co factors" which he help vitamin D work. They include 1. Healthy food. 2 Exercise 3.Vitamin D 4. Magnesium 5. Fatty acids Omega 3 6 Zinc He concludes that most people wont need to take over 5,000 IUs a day. 10,000 IUs is too much. Many will be OK with blood levels of 50 to 80 nmol/L Blood tests are necessary. So "You pays your money.....etc etc" In terms of paying for tests...if you can...Seems not much point if you have good health. But to be safe it seems there's no big problem in taking high doses in terms of toxicity.. Just maybe the cost, inconvenience and maybe your stomach? https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...30ae0c0b49.png Dr Oliver presents her usual high quality review of a topic. In this case childhood vaccination. Relevant with the appointment of RFKjnr to the US DOH. |

Something that all of these experts and pontificators overlook is genetics.
Some continue life with the occasional inconvenient common cold while others seem to contract many ailments. |

Back to covid with a different link it seems blood group had some effect as type O less likely to catch it, type A more. Anyway having a good vitamin D level plus most of the other co factors that Eckberg lists in his video seems to tick a lot of disease boxes. |

Re: NCR llockdown
Never mind the poor eating sardines. I consume one Pan de Manila jar of sardines per week because they are the best source of calcium for seniors.

COVID UPDATE
No data to be found from any country in the region. But see later for continuing UK and US data. Two articles on Thailand and Japan: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41598-025-85324-4 https://www.asiaresearchnews.com/con...id-19-pandemic For England: https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...f8b7011c14.png Cases less than 2 per 100k population per week. Deaths https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...915c3acfed.png Recently at about 60 per week. https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...f802114469.png Hospital admissions recently at a little over 100 per week. England and Wales Excess Deaths Have recently stabilized at a little below zero: w/e 21 Feb -5.5% 28 Feb -3.7% 7 Mar -1.0% Consistently less than 1% involving covid. For the US.....data has thankfully not yet fallen to RFKjnr's or DOGE's axe! https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...b197532ccd.png Testing down and ER visits also down on the last data shown here. https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...bae2036b08.png Hospitalizations and deaths both well down. Super Sally has recently offered up more data in her emails....and subjected it to an anti vaxx analysis: PSA vital statistics Philippine deaths: 2024 data only to Aug/September. Deaths for the year will possibly be up a little on 2023. Birtths: More dramatic...already down 13%...so likely down for the year somewhat. 58.2% of births were out of wedlock! Bulacan......A province given special attention as a teacher was concerned about future employment in the province! https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...88811e3193.png Ignoring her suggestions about the reason for the temporal correlation for both deaths and births this chart shows a gradual decline in births and some increase in deaths over the last decade. But Philippine births have been falling nationally for quite a few years, faster during covid. With the House investigation into Philippine excess deaths now seemingly moribund anti vaxxers like SS look to find anything they can to subject vaccinations to suspicion of harm. In this case pediatric vaccinations. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...50446bc467.png This data is likely showing a correct picture for the timing of infant deaths here. With a late peak on the second dose of the Hepa B vaccine. SS suggests some really serious harm from that. I looked it up and that vaccine has given no problems in the UK since 2017. The US CDC say safe and effective. So unless there are some vaccine production issues which only affect doses supplied here there seems no basis. Perhaps the way they collect the data?. A selection of some relevant You tube videos coming tomorrow. |
Re: NCR llockdown
Some recent You tube videos
https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...cfd93e85a1.png Dr Campbell sought a second vitamin D test from his GP (see my previous video post) and was relieved that it showed he was normal, 102 nmol/L vs 75 for the supermarket bought test. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...087a140b8d.png Negative immunity can result only from lack of sleep but of course Dr Campbell wants to involve his long time Australian immunologist, Dr Robert Clancy, another pal of his, who tries to push the idea that it can be caused by too many vaccinations. An idea not generally supported. He provides a link to a non peer reviewed Canadian paper which only looked at those over 60 years of age and whether repeated covid boosters had reduced their long term immunity. Their timid conclusion is only that the mRNA vaccines produced "meaningful, albeit limited .and short term protection against covid hospitalization". On a similar topic...cancer in the young..the conservative Fox News interviewer Tucker Carlson talked with a certain Dr Soon Shiong. Normally I wouldn't bother to look at anything involving Tucker Carlson, he would be a red flag or light. But Dr Shiong is a respected pancreatic surgeon. However I think he deserves an amber light. Another example of a surgeon who's appeared on Campbell's channel over the last few years, who gets well out of his lane. So here Dr Shiong talks about a number of young patients he has seen with cancers, often fast growing he says.Though he provides no statistics as to whether his patients were representative of a much larger population. He puts it down to inflammation caused by repeated infections and the spike proteins from vaccination. The immune system gets out of balance. He quotes some fancy terminology. He relies on studies from a group of researchers in California for that. No papers are cited. Campbell provides a long introduction, It looks like he is reading from something. He is unqualified so not much weight can be given to what he says about immunology. https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...ffe342967b.png A short video from Dr Wilson. RFKjnr becoming US Secretary of Health has resulted in renewed interest in his generally non scientific beliefs. One is that measles and other infections are not caused by germs but by a "miasma"..ie vapor. Remember back in time it was said people went down with "a touch of the vapors"?. Dr Wilson also looks at the autism claims against the measles and rubella vaccine for kids. Despite the Texas outbreak RFKjnr has still not come out and recommended it. Only that vitamin A can help. A recent paper tried to put new life into autism claims which were debunked years ago. It is found very deficient by Dr Wilson. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...fcf73dad74.png Last, Dr Wilson looks at another paper which caused some excitement amongst anti vaxxers: https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/british...5a9ea4bd84.png Is Post Vaccine Syndrome (PVS) a thing? Similar to Long Covid? They compared 42 self reported sufferers to 22 healthy people. Unfortunately many social media influencers have drawn the wrong conclusions from this very limited study. The conclusion of the study is only that more investigation of PVS is needed and Dr Wilson is also critical of some of the tests used.. Dr Wilson explains all in his usual comprehensive manner. |
