Weekly Report
Last week's % changes in brackets.
Reported cases down by about 2,500 to 6,707. .Actually by 28% (27%). So about the same rate of case fall. Except that last week was unusual due to the long Undas break, expected to be taken by many people to visit cemeteries and family in and out of their local area. The first proper Undas since 2019 and expected to be a busy one and one which would significantly spread the covid infection. But tropical storm Paeng greatly reduced Undas plans. Especially in the Visayas and unusually in the NCR and around. Less travel so less spread, though storms like Paeng can partly offset that by increasing gatherings in evacuation centres etc.
It seems likely to me that infections picked up during Undas have mostly not yet been recorded in the DOH system. In fact even more than usual would not be reported at all in a week such as the last as people are away from their home area and the great majority of Omicron infections are mild, symptoms, mostly cold like, lasting only a few days.
Complicated but Undas seems likely to have exaggerated case falls nationwide somewhat. Infection reports next week will include many cases created and delayed by the disruption last week.
Location results
NCR cases down by 36% (-42%).1,599 cases.
Case falls for the 6 largest cities range from Caloocan 45% to Manila 22%.
CL down 33% (-38%)...Bulacan -45%
4A down 37% (-32%) and 1,002 cases. .Cavite -41%. A few areas in the north of the province badly affected by Paeng.
Visayas down 19% (+4%). Only 1,378 cases.
The area now showing a good case fall, even allowing for the effects of Paeng. After a few weeks of case increases.
Mindanao down 21% (-17%)
A significant reduction as Paeng's serious effects mainly concentrated in one area of the island. 1,283 cases.

Cases announced continue to fall. Down to 1,010. Latest testing also falling 1.2k to 11.6k.
Active 16,615, down 508
Location detail
NCR 198 and 20% of all cases. Six largest cities with a lower than usual 59% of its cases. QC 35, Manila 25.
CL 71...Bulacan 33.
4A 126...Cavite 37, Laguna 33
These 3 regions 39% of all cases.
Elsewhere
CAR nearly doubled to 102
Ilocos 43
Cagayan 21
Bicol 22
Visayas 207..WV 118, CV 74
Mindanao 217..Davao region 77, NM 54.

See latest SS newsletter.
https://supersally.substack.com/
Small sample of PCR tests re-tested by a first generation test, which the author claims filters out most false positives.
42% rate of false positives.
Contrary to a generally accepted very low percentage of false positives:
Eg https://medical.mit.edu/covid-19-upd...false-positive
https://www.ons.gov.uk/aboutus/trans...covid19pcrtest
https://icd10monitor.medlearn.com/fa...test%20results.
Enormous implications IF he is on to something. Let's see if there are critiques of this or other studies are done. One problem is that some avenues for publicizing this type of study now closed off as the claims go against the generally accepted views of official health authorities.

DOH Weekly Report
Still no report for w/e Oct 30 but here is one for Oct 31-Nov 6.
Cases 6,346 and according to ABS-CBN down 30% on the week before.
In line with my latest weekly report.
Deaths 343 (272 2 weeks ago)
3 November
37 October
2 September
In 2021: 58 June, 90 May, 40, Apr, 13 Mar
Only 2 more serious cases (4 more 2 weeks ago) and admissions 650 (640 2 weeks ago).
ICU % 24.3 (23.1 2 weeks ago).
Hospital data liltle changed.

A large scale Israeli study on myorcarditis and covid reviewed by D John. No significant difference. The same for pericarditis. Previously some small studies had linked covid and these heart diseases
Leaving the question of whether there is a link with vaccination. Many present anecdotal evidence to claim a link but another recent large scale Israeli study generally dismisses that. Though whether vaccinators not aspirating when giving covid vaccines is a factor is still a possibility.

DOH Weekly Report
Missing reports have finally been posted on their Bulletin site. But it is basically non functional. Probably the reason why they did not publish earlier.
Correction on covid bed occupancy rates:
ICU beds 20.6% (22.1%)
Non ICU beds 24.3% (25.6%)
Another statistical note:
Worldometer reports: they're not now getting them from the official DOH tracker site but strangely calculating from another site, which does not give daily cases directly. On some days they have differed by a few or sometimes more cases.
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-022-33096-0
A recent article concluding that population wide covid booster vaccination campaigns are not worthwhile.
The Philippine population seemingly not enthusiastic about boosters. Not that they are told about the research studies such as the above, just the opposite in fact. More to do with knowing the pandemic here is of a mild nature and being tired of lining up for vaccinations.
Generally during the pandemic researchers publishing or trying to publish results, such as that above, contrary to the advice given by governments and health authorities have been unable to do so, or have been ignored. The following very long and well referenced article looks at these issues. Would you have imagined there are "ghost writers" at work with promoting drugs? I didn't. Many others too regarding the pandemic. Which the author does not accept it was.
Many people have accused health authorities and governments about their management of covid but this is a properly referenced academic article:

The PSA have published updated 2021 deaths data. Though still not complete! They have also broken them down by age group. The year 2019 can be taken as a normal year. Except for ages 0-9 years 2021 deaths were far in excess over the previous two years.
Read more about this in a SS newsletter from November 11.

She observes that pedriatric covid vaccination was not available in 2021. Supporting she says at the very least the need for an investigation here on whether the covid vaccines themselves were implicated in the excessive number of 2021 deaths. Questions on vaccine safety have recently been raised on this in the UK house of Commons. Of course they do very few investigations here on contentious areas like this. So the chances are very low,
Some months ago graphs taken from her newsletters were posted here showing a coincidence in timing between vaccination and death spikes here. In her latest newsletter she goes further to wonder whether there was also a "benefit" ie fewer deaths arising from the fact that many children in 2021 here had a disrupted immunization schedule! She gives no evidence for this. Just saying that the questions over the safety of Covid 19 vaccines should also be asked about regular pediatric vaccines.
I've read about and been told of a few people being quite cavalier about the number of times they have had covid:

Two You tibe videos from Dr Susan Oliver where she takes on recent misinformation from Dr John Campbell:
1. Myocarditis and Pericarditis post covid infection.

She says several studies show a link. The above paper looks at some in a meta analysis.
She then explains why the Israeli paper did not find one.
2. The discrepancy between UK GP list population and ONS estimates,

She points out that this issue has been looked at in a House of Commons report. UK citizens going abroad, military personnel and students are not affecting ONS sampling and explain a large share of the difference.
Why do some people have greater immunity to covid infection?
HLA genes. Explained in this latest Medcram video on You tube:
