Yesterday the national total down 42 to 149. Testing went up on Monday but to only 18.4k.
Deaths 0
Active 2,235, down 36
Location detail
NCR 55, maintaining 37% of total cases. Six biggest cities at 30. Manila 11.
CL 22, up 6. 4A down 19 to 27.
These 3 regions with 70% of national cases.
Visayas with only 8 cases.
Mindanao 22.
Weekly DOH bulletin
A strange situation. The bulletin not yet on the site. Previously always there late Monday. But rhere are press reports. Got these figures from the Manila Bulletin.
Cases 1,214 (1,118) up 9%
Deaths 6 (16)
Greatly under reported.
Severe and Critical again up 14
Patients 718 (588) up 22%
ICU 15.4% (15.6%)
So cases up though not greatly, but patients requiring hospital treatment were significantly up. Although intensive care utilisation stable. So definitely manageable at present.

With declared very low numbers of new Covid cases and almost zero deaths, People may be asking is contracting influenza or pnuemonia now more dangerous. Also what are the benefits of wearing facemarks outdoors?
I know the current administration will not change anything. Let us hope that the new administration follows a pragmatic approach in managing Covid.

Twelve less cases yesterday at 213, Testing down to 16.8k individuals on the 3rd.
Deaths 1
Active 2,436, down 5
Location detail:
NCR 105 and 49% of all cases. Top 6 cities 52, Taguig 15, Manila 12 cases.
CL up to 19, 4A down to 29. Rizal 14 cases.
These 3 regions 72% of all cases.
Visayas 31, Mindanao 22 cases.
Alert level classifications:
https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/06/04/...evel-1-level-2
Criteria for level 1:

Facemask mandate
The Health Secretary wants it to continue into the new administration.
https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/tops...mandate/story/
Will BBM be brave enough to just leave their wearing to personal choice? Will he do that even if cases start to rise again?
Looks to me like a re-run of the face shield saga where restrictions were lifted locally at first....especially for the mainly ridiculous outdoor use.
Weekly update later.
